all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”

Hello, my name is Houman Khorasani. I'm an entrepreneur and a dreamer. I am of German/Persian heritage and am living since 2005 in the United Kingdom.

I hold a Joint International Masters in Computer Science from the University of Applied Sciences Darmstadt in Germany with the collaboration of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.

In 2012, I left a high-paid position at Credit Suisse to pursue my dreams. I lived off my savings for 24 months to keep building iOS and Python solutions. I worked 12 hours a day, 6-7 days a week and kept improving myself.

I learned a lot about the business as well as mastering the technology. I have sensed the sweet taste of success as well as the bitter taste of failure. But no matter what happened, I kept learning and kept pushing forwards.

In April 2014 I joined a digital agency as a team lead to work for Google. I lead the development on a digital ad campaign to improve the brand identity for their Mobile Search App.

In October 2014 I accepted a permanent role of a Solution Architect with a focus on the pharmaceutical technology. Our mission is to speed up the clinical trials to bring the latest medicine faster to the market. I am leading a team of nine developers.

Currently, there are more than 8000 recognised rare diseases affecting 350 million people worldwide and their families. Because rare diseases have an impact on a smaller part of the population, there are challenges particular to the running of rare disease trials. I have seen reports of a little boy unable to do any work by himself. He became a volunteer in a clinical trial, and the medication worked. He improved to the extent that he was able to work on computers and to place an online order all by himself.

My dream is to build an app to help millions of people suffering from mental disorder, stress and depression. The 21st century offers a lot for connecting people. Many dating apps are trying to find love. But there is no good app to help to connect people dealing with their emotions, fears and a broken heart.

In recent years, I had to deal with few bad breakups myself, which wasn't easy for me to overcome. Many people suffer from the same issues. And there is nothing out there to help them.

I would like to help other people, and I can relate to it. The first step is to build an active community.
